Muscle spasm is a common and often painful condition. In a recent survey of U.S. adults, 83% said they had experienced muscle spasm.3 Episodes of muscle spasm usually do not last very long — typically no more than two to three weeks — however, muscle spasm may come back at another time. Muscle spasm and its pain can get in the way of a person's daily activities.

When muscle spasm gets in the way, taking steps that treat the spasm and relieve the pain can help you get back on track.

AMRIX® (Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride Extended-Release Capsules) is a prescription medicine to be used along with rest and physical therapy to help control muscle spasm associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. AMRIX should only be taken for short periods (up to two or three weeks). It should be taken at about the same time each day.

Certain medicines may cause serious or potentially life-threatening consequences when taken in combination with AMRIX, so tell your doctor if you are taking any medicines.

  • Have an overactive thyroid

Before taking AMRIX, talk to your doctor about all of your medical conditions, including any history of heart problems, urinary problems, or glaucoma.

AMRIX may affect your ability to perform certain hazardous tasks, such as operating machinery or driving a motor vehicle, especially when used with alcohol or other sedatives.
